Our story
Started by people who
actually take the train
AmericaTrak began in 2016 because booking a train in America was harder than it needed to be. Fares moved between screens, restrictions hid in footnotes, and when something went wrong the only option was to wait on hold.
We thought an agency could do better — not by reinventing the railroad, but by being genuinely good at the part that happens before you board. Clear prices. Fare rules in plain English. A phone number that a person answers at three in the morning when your connection has just been cancelled.
Ten years on, that is still the whole business. The trains belong to the carriers. The booking is ours, and we would like it to be the calmest part of your trip.

Where we stand
Independent, and clear about it
AmericaTrak is an independent travel agency and an authorized ticket reseller. We are not a railroad, we do not operate trains, and we are not affiliated with any rail carrier. We think you should know exactly who you are buying from, so we say it plainly rather than burying it.
In practice that means: the ticket we issue is a genuine rail ticket, honoured exactly like one bought direct from the carrier. The fare, schedule and onboard experience belong to the operator. The booking, service fee, support and everything on this site are ours — and so is the responsibility when we get it wrong.
